Three Awesome Things You Could Be Doing Right Now

Bored this Sunday? Nothing to do?

Why don't you...

LISTEN TO JIMI HENDRIX'S NEW ALBUM

'People, Hell and Angels' is deceased Hendrix's newest album, released on March 5th,  2013. Recorded between 1968 and 1970, it contains 12 previously unreleased and digitally remastered songs. The album really does take the Hendrix experience to the next level, everyone needs to listen to it.

WATCH THIS ENTHRALLING DOCUMENTARY
Who knew African grassland documentaries could be so interesting? I accidentally stumbled across this documentary when looking for something else on YouTube and immediately fell in love with it. Samuel L Jackson narrates the journey of lions and leopards across Africa and along with the incredible soundtrack, this documentary is like an animal reality version of Game of Thrones... kind of.

LISTEN TO DALLAS GREEN'S BEAUTIFUL VOICE

Dallas Green is one of my favourite artists of all time with his solo project City and Colour. He is one of the only artists I have seen that is as good live as he is recorded, if not better. This song is from a recent album and isn't acoustic, but I think he's worked the song to sound perfect in this acoustic performance.

The Meaning of Life

Probably the biggest question there is - what is the meaning of life?

In my opinion, there is no one meaning.

Life is what you make it, the meaning of every person's life is different. You should never try and live your life the way anyone else wants you to live it or tells you to live it. You have to discover the meaning of your own life.

I don't know what the meaning of my life is - and I'm quite happy not knowing for now. I am too busy trying to find out who I am rather than trying to find out why I am who I am.

As this blog clearly establishes, I am a huge John Mayer fan. The video below is of him live in LA covering a Jimi Hendrix song called 'Bold As Love'. During the song, he sums up what he thinks life should be about. As corny as it is, I think he's pretty on key.

Nothing Like a Bit of John Mayer to Calm the ol' Nerves

I am more than worried right now.

I am stressed up to my eyeballs.

I have left my home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and moved to Winchester, Hampshire. That in itself is a huge change. Nuneaton is a pretty common town, bit of class here and there but not a "nice" town. Winchester, however, is entirely different - and comes at a price! Everything is hugely expensive.

But that's the least of my worries, I'm about to get myself into £40,000 worth of debt by going to University of Winchester to study Journalism and now I'm not sure if it's the university I want to attend... I know I should have researched it more but I've been so excited about it up until now - now I'm actually here.

I can't help but feel it may have been a lack of guidance, consdering no one I know, including previous Journalism tutors, have ever studied Journalism at university.

But there is nothing I can do this very minute, considering it's 1am.

So, to calm my nerves, I put on the unbeatable, incredible, brilliant, beautiful, soulful, amazing album 'Where The Light Is - Live in LA' by John Mayer.

I thought I'd share a few of the best songs, in my opinion, on the album. If you don't like them, well, you have no taste.
