I don't need to write about this song, it speaks for itself. Just give it a listen.

Thought of the Day

I wish everyone was up front and straight, then life wouldn't be so confusing.

Ed Sheeran vs Oasis

Oasis, although now over, were an incredible band. There is no denying this. Wonderwall is one of there best song and definitely their most well known.

Today I heard one of the numerous covers of the song, this time by Ed Sheeran. It was incredible.

I will always say that the original is better.. but this cover sure is good.

Thought of the Day

If something seems to good to be true, it usually is.

Bonobo

Today has been a particularlly stressful day. This is where Bonobo comes in.

Listen to this song whilst reading the rest of this post:

Bonobo's first release was in 1999, so he has been around for some while. Yet, unlike most generic artists that record labels spit out these days, his music is timeless.

He doesn't use lyrics about sex, he doesn't have 'swag', he doesn't have a heavy bassline and he doesn't dress like the ultimate 'indie kid'. His music isn't about fashion or popularity. His music is about a beautiful sound for people of all ages & backgrounds to enjoy.

Using mixed sounds and gentle beats, I can easily listen to his music and pretend everything is fine. That is all I need to right now.

Listen. Relax. Enjoy.

Moscow's Banksy

P183 the Russian Banksy: Street art of P183, known as the Russian Banksy, Moscow, Russia - Jan 2012

Well, I have stumbled accross something incredible.

As I have my interview for Winchester university next week to study journalism, I have been religously reading the Guardian on my phone and they've featured a street artist; promclaimed the Moscow Banksy.

A lot like English Banksy, "P183" as he is known, presents his art is thought provoking and secretive manner. He reveals little about himself except the fact his name is Pavel, he is 28 and that he studied 'communicative design'.

The piece to the right is my favourite of the collection. For me, it represents the innocence and niavitiy of a child as she tries to make something beautiful out of something so ugly. Most people know hanging a few baubles upon barbed wire will make no difference but it's as if she still believes it will, which makes this picture so beauitful.

Below is some more of his work, just to enjoy.
